There is nothing I love more than anticipating the weekend and being able to dress casually, especially in the Spring. Heck, I have a blog dedicated entirely to laid-back and casual style. What makes me even more excited is being able to style a more dressy piece into weekend casual, like my leopard print skirt.
During the fall and winter, I constantly wore my leopard skirt and was hesitant I’d be able to wear it past one season. Which is silly because leopard swimsuits are having a moment now. My eyes were opened when I saw Kate from Lonestar Southern style her leopard skirt with a denim jacket. Even my fashion blogger eyes get inspired sometimes when others style something!
Now, to be totally transparent I am not social distancing myself. Here’s the catch though. I have been “working from home” for about 2 months now after my teaching contract ended. So even though I’m not technically alienating myself, I really have no need to go in public much besides the essentials, like a grocery store run, going to the gym or getting fresh air outside.
I am a firm believer in “getting dressed to not get depressed” as Cori lynn from Dress Cori Lynn said. This outfit is deff one of my comfy and casual outfits I am going to wear this week when I am doing computer work. Originally, I was totally planning on wearing this outfit to a giant plant show in Orlando this weekend until it got cancelled. If you are working from home or are not at work this week, I highly encourage you to get dressed if that’s something you know will help you. It truly helps me stay motivated!
Let me know if there are any specific posts you’d like to see on here now that everything is unknown and up in the air! I may not have been working from home very long but I have developed some habits to make my days more fun, get work done and stay in a positive mindset. I know how hard it can be to stay motivated at home. Know I am praying for you all, no matter what your circumstances are.

Easy Casual Look With a Denim Jacket
The one easy way to style a leopard skirt to make it casual?! Add a denim jacket! I decided to tuck in my favorite silky tank top from LOFT and top it with a 10 year old denim jacket. A little style tip?! Never get rid of your denim jackets. They come back in style every few years and are the easiest layer to add to any outfit.
Also, if your going to add anything to your wardrobe, I swear this LOFT silky tank (under $30)will be one of your most worn items in the coming months. I’ve owned mine for about 2 years and wear it with all types of skirt and shorts combos.
Now, I know I’ve shown these backless loafers on here before but not sure if I actually have photos of the shoes styled. They are amazing! My old white pair from Target didn’t last more than one teaching season and I wanted something a little better quality. Sperry does not disappoint when it comes to quality and I was so excited I found these $60 backless loafers on their website in an off white color! They are truly a go-to staple item! I wear them when running out of the house, with more classic outfits and to work!
