When I took a poll on Instagram asking you what specific types of posts or items you were looking for this winter, a bunch of you asked for affordable sweaters! Girl, I couldn’t agree more! Who wants to spend a ton of money on a sweater? Not me! This question came at the perfect time because new sweaters were the one item I invested in this winter. I think we can all agree, winter in Florida or any warmer climate is really like Spring. Now that Christmas is gone, it’s perfectly acceptable to bring out all the brightly colored sweaters. Seriously though, a colorful sweater can add brightness to even the most drab winter day.

We’ve been experiencing the weirdest weather here lately! One day it’s sunny and dress weather warm out and the next it’s 45 and rainy, YES 45 degrees! It’s always so fun to get so much use out of an item I never get to wear much! One of my go-to ways to style sweaters that I have been wearing non stop this winter are with white skinny jeans! You just can’t beat popping a bright colored sweater against a classic white bottom or even a neutral sweater! I also have been styling my sweaters with skirts and boots!
Sweaters are one of those items that I shop really frugally. I will hands down drop $50-$100 easily on a dress because I get so much use out of them during the warm summer months. But sweaters…I get the least use out of them, so I generally shop for ones between $25 – $50! $30 is be my sweet spot!
When I shop for affordable sweaters, my favorite place to look first is LOFT! That is where I bought the pink sweater I’m wearing as well as a few others for the winter which I will wear into Spring as we get beautiful 70 degree days! I also love shopping at Old Navy, Target, Amazon, HM, Gap and J.Crew for affordable styles! These stores all have beautiful sweaters where you don’t have to skimp on quality.
This winter, there were two really popular sweater styles, a mock neck which is basically a turtleneck, just shorter and looser and a puff or balloon sleeve! I became obsessed with the puff sleeve trend which resulted in me wanting to get rid of all my other sweaters! I love the fun it adds to a somewhat basic everyday style. Before we know it, Spring will be here in a swift second. That’s why I love to wear my brightly colored sweaters to help transition into Spring.
To narrow it down and help make the affordable sweater hunt easier, I picked three of my favorite puff sleeved and mock neck sweaters for you all under $50!!!
1. Pink V-Neck Balloon Sleeve Sweater – $44.50
2. Amazon Over-sized Mock Neck Sweater (comes in over 5 colors!) – $39.00
3. HM Pink Knit Sweater – $24.99
Please excuse the Santa feet decor in these photos. 🤣 Time got the best of me and I figured this outfit was more fit for Spring anyways!
