One of my big goals for 2020 was to record more videos for either IGTV or YouTube. I figured why not hit two birds with one stone and create videos that can be geared towards YouTube but be used on Instagram as well! Last year I started showing my face so much more on Instagram stories which helped build up my confidence on videos. I feel like YouTube is a whole other ball game. Seeing and hearing yourself on video is so freaking weird!
All the thoughts go through your head like, “Your not cut out for this”, “Katie, you were a shy girl growing up, don’t even try”, “No one wants to hear you talk”, “You have nothing interesting to say.” So here’s to kicking that fear monster in the butt!!!
For my channel I want to focus more on really helpful styling tips and breaking down how to style outfits. Not just *here’s a cute photo of me, but this* type stuff. I’m going to focus on being my silly and outgoing self and just have fun. It’s just fashion after all!
One other category I really want to dive more into is making travel videos/vlogs. I’d love to take you all along on my adventures, hopefully within the next few months if all works out! Traveling gives me life and I envision using the Sunshine Style YouTube channel for more travel and adventurous content than fashion but we shall see! I have a really adventurous spirit and I would really love the videos to inspire you to embrace travel and trying new things!

Target Puffer Jacket / LOFT Tank / J.Crew Shorts / Rifle Paper Co. X KEDS Shoes (on sale under $40!) / Amazon Pearl Headband
For my very first YouTube video, I made a vlog about my Saturday adventures to a local boardwalk called Brevard Zoo Linear Trail. My sister and I loaded the bikes into the car, drove to the trail and spent about two hours biking about 6 miles. I recorded us riding on the beautiful trail and even included what I am wearing! If you live in Brevard county or ever visit the area, it’s a must see and experience!
I’m not sure why I thought making a video and uploading it to YouTube would be easy, but boy of boy, I spent half of Sunday learning how to upload, edit, add music, make sure it’s high quality (don’t think I quite nailed it 💁♀️) add thumbnails and all the things. Honestly, I should have planned it out better but I’m much more of a spontaneous person and that’s just how I roll HA!
I wore these adorable new Keds shoes! Keds collaborated with one of my favorite Orlando based companies, Rifle Paper Co. and designed the most colorful and fun pair or casual sneakers I have ever seen! Their on sale for under $40!!! I plan on wearing these all Spring and Summer long for both outdoor adventures and dressing them up with skirts and dresses on warm days!!

January 21, 2020 at 7:11 amCute shoes! Did the socks stretch them out or just go without socks? I’d like to get a similar pair. Thanks!

January 21, 2020 at 2:33 pmHi Jenny!! Actually, I purposely put the socks on to stretch them out. The middle part of the shoe was a bit tight around my foot when I first tried them on! I ordered a 9 in the striped Keds! I always wear a 9-9.5 but I know in Keds I’m a true 9 in case you were needing sizing info!. I wore no show socks with the shoes on a bike ride and they fit perfectly fine after a bit of stretching!
